Finally! Trailer and Images for Spider-Man: No Way Home have Officially Dropped, Confirming Multiverse Rumors

The official trailer for Marvel’s incredibly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally arrived following a blurry leaked version hit social media yesterday.

The trailer follows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) struggling to cope with the public response to him being publicly outed as Spider-Man by Mysterio – following on from the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Parker enlists the help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to perform a spell that will make everyone forget he is Spider-Man. The spell doesn’t quite turn out as planned, shoving Parker and Mysterio into the multiverse.

Following months of waiting from a dedicated fanbase, the trailer finally settles some rumors that have been raised over the past two years. This movie will, in fact, be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe to deal with the multiverse and Strange appears to be at the helm of this. The trailer confirms that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will be dealing with several villains from past Spider-Men films including Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. In a ‘blink and you miss it’ moment from the trailer, it appears as if Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman and Rhys Ifans’ Lizard will make an appearance in the film.

A lot of speculation remains regarding the film, particularly if Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man make an appearance. Regardless, there is plenty to be excited in what I am sure will be the biggest film of 2021.

The official synopsis as follows:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Watch the official teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, exclusively in New Zealand cinemas December 26.

Despite the marketing campaign now in full force, Sony Pictures showed some humility with their response to the leaked blurry trailer with unfinished VFX:

Film is subjective. Give us your thoughts!
